John Saunders buys Ginetta G50
After having successfully competed in the Ginetta Challenge in buy cialis online a Ginetta G40 during the 2011 season, John Saunders is looking for a move into Endurance racing. Trackcars looked at the feasibility of upgrading his G40 into an endurance racer
but decided it was not going to be the most cost effective route. Instead we set up a couple of viewings of Ginetta 50 race cars currently for sale.
John test drove an endurance spec G50 on Sunday at Silverstone and immediately fell in love with it. After returning back to the pits from his test drive he simply said “pay the man the money”. John will be taking delivery of his new Ginetta G50 this week and is hoping to do some early winter testing kicking off at Donington on the 20 November 2011.
John plans on doing a few endurance events in the new year with a view of entering a few Britcar and GT Trophy rounds and the possibility of doing the Britcar 24 hour at Silverstone in October 2012.
TCS visits the Ginetta factory
Upon placing an order for four Ginetta G40s, an agreement was made for some TCS employees to work on the construction of the race cars on
the assembly line in the Yorkshire based factory.
This allowed us at TCS to get some valuable knowledge on the G40 before we receive the cars in their final livery. Craig and Jack, the two members who made the trip, felt it was definitely worthwhile, picking up tricks and hints on running the race cars in order for us to
fully maximise knowledge within the company so we can make an instant impact come the race season.
They were able to get a sneak insight into each department, from design and sales, right down to chassis welding and engine builds.
“Being able to work alongside the Ginetta mechanics and engineers has given both myself and Jack the confidence to go out there and prove ourselves as not only Caterham champions but to work towards the Ginetta championship from the off, it helps to be as well prepared as we can which was the main reason for making the trip up to the factory”.
Big changes for the team
As the year tails off and we head into
Christmas, TCS looks forward to a new year as we move into the Ginetta Challenge with 4 new Ginetta G40′s. Kevin Begley, Vance Kearney, Paul Latimer and Lee Moulden take up the seats for what can be a very exciting new direction for driver
and team. The 4 new cars should be arriving in mid January, something the team is all looking forward to.
